The Golden Rule & Attorney Wellness - The Tennessee Way
The Golden Rule (2 Ethics CLE credits)
-with special guest, Michael Kennedy, Esq. & Andrew Delaney, Esq.
The principle of treating others as one wants to be treated would seem unobjectionable. But the “Golden Rule” finds various treatments in the law. In arguing a case to jurors, so-called Golden Rule argument is strictly prohibited and can be cause for reversal of a verdict. In the ethical context, however, treating fellow lawyers the same way you yourself would like to be treated is not only desirable but a key to attorney well-being and effective practice. In this session, we’ll interactively explore ways to minimize stress and maximize productivity by applying the Golden Rule to the ethical practice of law.
